Pierre Queval urodził się w 1988 roku. Studiował w konserwatoriach w Nantes i Saint-Maur-des Fossés (Francja), u Michela Bourcier, Erica Lebrun i Pierre'a Pincemaille.

Następnie kształcił się w Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris w zakresie gry organowej (pod okiem Michela Bouvarda i Oliviera Latry), improwizacji organowej i fortepianowej (w klasie Thierrego Escaicha, Lasalo Fassanga, Philippe’a Lefèbvre i Jean-François Zygela) oraz kontrapunktu (u Pierre’a Pincemaille). Uzyskał tytuł magistra we wszystkich trzech dyscyplinach.

 

Od 2014 roku pełni funkcję organisty tytularnego w kościele św. Ignacego w Paryżu na organach Cavaillé-Coll. Pierre Queval jest siódmym młodym artystą na stałym angażu (young artist in residence) w katedrze St. Louis w Nowym Orleanie (USA) – od listopada 2015 do kwietnia 2016 roku.

 

Występuje w wielu prestiżowych miejscach we Francji i poza jej granicami (USA, Anglia, Włochy, Finlandia).

W Paryżu gra recitale w Notre-Dame, Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Eustache, Sainte-Clotilde, Saint-Denis, La Trinité, Saint-Séverin, Saint-Thomas d'Aquin i bierze udział w wielu festiwalach, takich jak Radio-France et Montpellier/Languedoc-Roussillon, La Roque d'Anthéron, La Chaise-Dieu, Annecy Classic Festival, Toulouse les Orgues, Lyon Orgue en Jeu, Chartres, Saint-Malo, Carcassonne, L'Alpe d'Huez i innych.

 

Pierre Queval regularnie towarzyszy niemym filmom, grając na pianinie lub organach.

Wspólnie z flecistką Charlotte Berthomé i skrzypaczką Mathilde Gandar założył Meigma Trio.

Pierre Queval was born in 1988. He has studied at the Nantes and Saint-Maur-des Fossés Conservatories (France), with Michel Bourcier, Eric Lebrun and Pierre Pincemaille, then he went to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris to study with with Michel Bouvard and Olivier Latry for the organ, with Thierry Escaich, Lasalo Fassang, Philippe Lefèbvre and Jean-François Zygel for organ and piano improvisation, and Pierre Pincemaille for the counterpoint. He got a master's degree in each discipline.

 

Titular organist of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in St. Ignatius Church in Paris since 2014, Pierre Queval is the seventh "young artist in residence" at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans (US) from November 2015 to April 2016.

 

He is performing in many prestigious places in France and abroad (US, England, Italy, Finland).

In Paris, he plays recitals to Notre-Dame, Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Eustache, Sainte-Clotilde, Saint-Denis, La Trinité, Saint-Séverin, Saint-Thomas d'Aquin... and participates to several festivals such as Radio-France et Montpellier/Languedoc-Roussillon, La Roque d'Anthéron, La Chaise-Dieu, Annecy Classic Festival, Toulouse les Orgues, Lyon Orgue en Jeu, Chartres, Saint-Malo, Carcassonne, L'Alpe d'Huez...

 

Pierre Queval also regularly plays the piano or the organ to accompany silent films and movies.

He has founded the Meigma Trio with the flautist Charlotte Berthomé and the violonist Mathilde Gandar.
